Regardless of the situation, the moment it’s time to teach one of his Kung Fu or Chi Kung classes, Yu Dai becomes this energetic ball of joy, ready to share all he has with his students.  Around the globe, Yu Dai is known for his graceful, yet powerful, Kung Fu moves, as well as his ability to teach this art and the culture surrounding it to people of all ages wanting to learn.

Since a young age, Yu Dai has been learning, competing, and teaching his skills to others. Initially, he used it as a way to overcome shyness and instill a set of traditional values and discipline into his everyday life. While Yu Dai is the holder of a few international titles and owner of several international medals, from the Netherlands to the United States to China, he claims his biggest and most favorite accomplishment is teaching. Currently, Yu Dai hopes that by sharing his talent and skills he will not only expose people to the ancient Chinese philosophies and traditions, but has even more hope that he can help teach focus, discipline, and a way for others to find their “better selves”.

At the end of 2015 after a long and difficult year he was forced and eventually made the decision to leave his teacher’s organization that he spend most of his entire life in. Following this, Yu Dai wanted to take a break from martial arts, questioning if he still loves the art. After months taking a break and slowly getting back to training, he realized the love for the art was still there, it was always there but because the school that he spend most of his life in had changed...he felt like he didn’t love the art anymore.

After almost a year he fell back in love with the art and why he enjoyed the art so much. He spend the next months of training and visualizing a dream about what a martial arts school supposed to be. A school he used to be part of, a school that he spend so many years of his life in, a school that unfortunately changed and made him leave.

In 2017 he finally made the decision to open his own school under the name of Seung Fu Martial Arts, with lots of excitement and eagerness to share and expose the martial arts system to new students.

In addition to martial arts, he loves doing carpentry and woodworking. He ventured into these hobbies when he first made a rack for the weapons, a wooden horse bench, and a Choy Li Fut wooden dummy. Later on, he began making other weapons for the school. He enjoys creating things, because it gives him a break from practicing martial arts and still keeps him connected to it.
